Storm Events

Any time a storm event takes place that SERVPRO decides to get involved in, the moment we decide to
travel to wherever that event takes place, it’s a race to get there and find work as soon as possible. On
occasion, SERVPRO travels because they are guaranteed a good job, but more often, we arrive and hope
that the set of leads available to us can make us money. The first couple days of a storm event involve
running around trying to get work. Some leads that we are given sound good on paper, but end up being
small, and vice versa, so you never know what you’re going to run into until you are actually on-site
looking at the loss. It’s important to try and get work started as soon as possible, which usually isn’t too
difficult because most customers usually push you to get work started.
